Default What do you think of Logo?

I wondered what any of you thought about this new Logo I've been working on? How do the colors look on other monitor's? Do you find it to be something you would remember and find unique to me only? Any input is appreciated.

Thanks!

How does it look in b&w? I always started from a simple design first when designing logos.

For T-shirts then not bad except your name in red may not standout against the logo background color.

To be perfectly honest, my first thought upon seeing this is "what the hell is that?!".

I think it is a bit too busy and confusing. I don't remember your name, just that design.
If google was hooked into your brain, and you could search for an image you remember, this would be the ideal logo.
But we can't. I could never remember your name in all that clutter.

I much prefer simple logos, monochrome being ideal.
The name should be the main attraction.

What you have is an intricate image, with an even more intricate font that gets lost.
I would say, if you really like the design, make the name a more bold and simple font to stand out.
It would be best if the name was in just plain black.

Hope I'm not being too harsh.

+1 completely agree.

Your name is hard to read and i spent too much time trying to figure out what it was. There is too much going on, reducing The elements will help reduce the confusion.

You do not need an intricate background with a curly font, perhaps try a plain font, simplify the flourish and situate your name so it is not over the top of the flourish. I would also reccomend taking out all the special effects like beveled edges and drop shadows, it add to teh confusion.

The most sucsesfull logos are simple ones beceause people imeadiately know what you do and who you are.

Since that design isn't a trademark, mshockley can regard that as an alternate version for T-shirts design. A simpler version can start from here (unfinished and as a suggestion only):

logo and company name dont need to be the same thing. try making your flourish smaller, and have it to the right and slightly below the name. It will draw a person's eye across your company name, encouraging them to read it, but catching their eye at the end which gives them a chance to commit the name to memory without having to think about it.
