I'm not sure why we're editing out the name. As I say, if it's worth mentioning, it's worth mentioning by name.

However, since I didn't start the thread, I'll only say it's not all that difficult to find the coupon.

Here's a bit of promo text from it:

Quote:
Memories are complex storage units that occasionally evade our grasp. While embarrassing moments ring loud and true, memories that make us laugh and smile often…wait…what are we talking about?

More great text from the ad ('twas indeed easy to find through Google):

"A quality picture can induce nostalgic spasms of joy when adorned on a wall and can be used to deter burglars who have a soft spot for immaculate photography and picture perfect smiles. Keep your valuables safe with a golden grin by snapping on today's great deal"

ETA: Oops, this was a slightly different deal, with the same intro text; nm. Still love the crazy text though :-)

I have been hired by this photographer a few times to cover when he is double booked, sick etc. When he told me about this promotion, I felt he was crazy, but I did want to prevent it from being about a person, just more about the coupon craze we are witnessing.

I think things like that can help boost trade at very quiet times, but they are certainly too insane to sustain. The only trouble with that one is that on the ad it says "no expiration date" - that could be epic fail :P

I see.

Well there are ways to make a coupon / groupon deal work, however none of those services seem to be interested in allowing them.

To the right market, I could give $250 off a session and still do well on print sales, but the services want prints, etc included in the crazy low pricing.
