Default Magician?

I have a rather interesting shoot coming up later today, A local magician wants me to do his photos. I am going to try and incorporate his magic into the photos, especially since he does alot of fire work. It is sure to be fun! One of the more interesting subjects I have shot.

What's the most interesting subject you have shot? Anyone or anything out of the ordinary?

That could be a lot of fun. I did a few kid show birthday parties and such before I decided I'd rather stay an amateur magician.

One thing you may have to expect is to be aware that he may not let you shoot from certain angles.

Oh I know, I used to have a magic background as well, Did a couple shows, but decided it wasn't for me. So yes, I wil make sure that on some shoots to be careful of where I have the camera, don't want to expose a trick!

What do you mean "expose a trick"? I hope you aren't implying that magic isn't real!

One of my best cruise memories was exactly that. There was a magic show, and we got there a little late and wound up upstairs right to one corner of the stage on the balcony rail. We were looking almost directly down at these guys. It looked like bad seats until they started the tricks. We could see behind the curtain, exactly how The tricks were done. I just wish I had a video camera then.

That sounds like fun, It's always nice to get some behind the scenes look at things. I remember one time I ended up being in on a trick and had to stand where I could clearly see the trick exposed, and pretend to be just as surprised as everyone else that was watching the levitation (From the correct angle.) I feel it added to their experience, they were awestruck.

I photographed Slobodan Milosevic, the most heinous (alleged) war criminal since WWII.

Him and others like him.

I say 'alleged' because he died before the trial ended so, despite my opinion, I can only say alleged.

That sounds like it was an interesting shoot to do.
