Default Service Contracts for Photography

Hey everyone!

I just got booked to shoot my first wedding! I'm really excited, however....the wedding planner is asking for my contract to give to the bride. Does anyone have a standard contract template they use, that I could tweak?

Appreciate the help!

Default Oh boy...

LMAO.. good luck with the Wedding planner.

Your contract should be with the B&G.
Deal directly with the B&G, be very carefull about entering into a contract with the wedding planner...

If I were you, I'd send her the contract only after the B&G have signed it.
Make sure your contract says you will not deliver until fully paid, that you will deliver the images directly to (and only to) the B&G.

If you enter into a contract with the planner they will be paying you, and the B&G will pay her.
Who is to say she won't add a mark-up to your service?
They have been known to and try re-negotiate the contract, withold payments. etc. etc..

Oh, and she will enforce every letter of the contract on their behalf.. so it better be a good contract.
If I were you, I would get a standard contract from the PPA or whatever your local Professional body is.

OR, I would also recommend looking into buying one from thephotographerstooolkit.com
writen by a profesional photographer, who in a past life has a background in Law...

it is with the B&G....the wedding planner is getting the contract from me because she's their point of contact for now.
