Default Property shoot - how much to charge?

In short, my cousin and his business partner are looking for some professional grade images for a 340 acre plot of land they own and are marketing to sell. The images will be used to show off the land on a website they will be launching in a few weeks.

Details:
-Property is located in Connecticut. I live in Long Island, NY. He will pick up all travel expenses including a hotel for us to stay at Saturday night.
-Shoot will cover 340 acres of land during Saturday and possibly Sunday as well.
-No discussion of absolute number of images, but most likely ranging from 30-50.
-I'd estimate total image processing time to hover around 10-12 hours.

I do sell my images and have confidence in my skills to perform the job at a high level, in case someone was going to ask (hope that doesnt sound cocky). I appreciate any input people are willing to share. Thanks in advance and let me know if you have any other questions!

Jesse

You say you sell your images, but what kind? Are you a landscape or commercial photographer?

So why not license them for the same rates as normal and then add the travel, meals etc?

You need to nail this down better too:

Unless there are a lot of unique features spread out over 340 acres, I don't see 30-50 pictures needed to sell it.

Because I do not have a rate, which is why Im trying to nail that down. I've sold prints of images I have taken on my own time based on print costs and markup, but this is the first time I'd be commissioned for a specific shoot like this.

If he wants to pay for that many, then Id like to deliver that many. Its a huge plot of land with a lot of unique characteristics, ie pond, hiking trail, creek, etc.

Well, some of the folks who do more commercial work will chime in, but my day rates are
$750.00 for half day
$1250 for full day.

Plus licensing.

Maybe you can get a % of the sale price from the land

Jesse, I just re-read your post, and I don't see a question. Being that you do this type of photography, I didn't get the impression you were looking for "how to" advise. Just curious...being that I live in CT I was wondering what part of the state it's in (don't need town names if your not comfortable with that, just general geographic area) Scenically, CT is very diverse from the coastal shoreline areas to the foot hills of the Berkshires. Also, any buildings on the property..or just land?

BTW, we originally from LI - Huntington

If I understand correctly the question is what sort of day rate and licensing to use since the OP apparently has sold only prints up to this point and has apparently been taking photos on his own to sell rather than being hired to shoot a specific project.
