I set up a blog (link below) a little while ago and since I too am focusing on photography I used one of my photos in the banner. That highlights your work, tends to set the tone of the blog and can anchor the color scheme. (I have several other photos I'm considering rotating through as banners, it's one of the fun things about blogs.) I also chose a template (Picture Window) that allowed me to use one of the stock backgrounds, another easily changeable feature.

Anyway, that's where I'd recommend you start. Great start, have fun!

You might want to remoce the image of chase, unless of coarse you have explicit written permission to use it..Using images other than your own is copyright infringement...could cuae issues down the road

I love the clean and simple template. No junk or dark colours getting in the way. Simple is often better.

I like some of the photos but find there are too many photos and not enough writing to go along with the photos, dont forget this is meant to be a blog and not a photo sharing website like Flickr. Thats just my opinion take a look at my blog (join as well if you want as i could use some ectra followers :-) ) for an idea of what i mean.

The photo of the feet is awesome... I like the cleanbackground, that way there is nothing to focus on but pics. Good Job, IMO :-)
