Group Photography - Local High School

It's been a while since I posted here, but my old high school choir director (whom I consider a very close friend) e-mailed me asking about taking the group choir photographs. These photos would entail:

5 group choirs (1 jazz, 2 concert, and 2 show choirs)
1 large framed print for the choir room
and releases for the yearbook and show choir competition booklets.
Various small print sales would be for individual students

I am clueless on this sort of photography. I know I can do these shots (especially after being in them for 4 years), but I don't know what to charge. What is the going rate for this sort of a job? I want to be fairly priced, but I need to be paid what I'm worth too. Thoughts?

i think a baseline should be what you make now...no sense in earning less than your day job. Be sure to include your estimate of the editing and post work. From there it is more market specific as prices tend to be higher in larger cities. I see flat rates from $50/hr to $200/hr for portrait shooting sessions. Keep in mind you may spend 2x or 3x the time to edit and processes than you did to set-up and shoot.
