ok .. so I would like to set up a "photo booth" in our "bar district" on the weekend evenings..
I'd like to sell 5X7 prints, but I can't find a portable 5X7 photo printer. everything I see is 4X6. questions 1. does anyone else here do this? is it profitable? (I'm in a high traffic area blocks from a Major university and also have alot of tourist traffic. 2. ideas on a printer? 3. do people buy 4X6 prints?? I know alot of people read these forums and don't answer because they aren't "members" etc.. so please feel free to email me at kelly@atxphotoguy.com thanks KJ

#2. Shinko - Their 8x10 printer will print 5x7s #3. For what you're doing, I don't think people really think about the difference between 5x7 & 4x6. Shinko has a 4x6 printer as well. |

Thanks Jim.. I always appreciate your advice.
Looked at the Shinko.. nice, but i'm thinking smaller and more portable? battery power maybe?? I have a canon 9500 Mark II , but that thing feels like it weighs 500lbs definitely too much to lug around

We, at the Olympic Photo Group use Shinko printers: 8x10, 5x7 and 4 x6 printers, but, they are expensive as hell. I'll take a picture of our setup and post it on Wednesday. But, you can purchase any printer and print out 4 x 6's.
