Default Calandars?

Hi all,
I realize that it's a little late in the year, but are there any suggestions of where to have calendars done?

I used FedEx/Kinkos to print a dozen wall calendars for family and friends, and was pleased with the results. Free overnight shipping too, because they own the shipping company!

Word has gotten out and I'm finding that folks are offering to buy them. I'm also getting requests for the little booklet/purse calendars. FedEx and most others charge $15-$20 per calendar for small orders. That was OK for family gifts, but if I'm going to be selling them I'd like to see some profit. I'd like to offer them for $12 or so.

Other than buying 1000 at a time, are there any printers that deal with smaller orders?

Thanks!

PapaJames,

I have used VistaPrint.com for my calendars and had good success. They run a host of specials and for one batch of wall calenders I was able to get a price of $8.50/calendar for a run of 25 of them. My other set had a different deal and was more expensive at just over $12 per calendar. Both times I ordered from them they shipped my order BEFORE the promised date.

There was one calendar that had a print error and when I reported it to them they credited my account as replacing it did not make sense as the show I was doing was going to be over before they could ship it to me.

Overall I've had a good experience with them. They also do my business cards.

Hope this helps!
John

Hi

to add to that, Vista Print shower you with offers. Try this link there is one for two free calandars at the mo but they will shower you with plenty more.

I've also seen good results with Vista Print, but yes, they do shower you with offers after you sign up. Worthy tradeoff if you get a good product.

Try a commercial printer, a local one that uses a digital press, you chould be able to get smaller quantities at a decent price.
