Rights issue for selling photo postcards of a popular tourist destination?

There is great demand in my town for postcards of a local shop that is featured in a national TV show. Do I have a rights issue if I sell photo postcards that I make myself using images I shoot of that local shop? I would be trading on their name, essentially.

why not contact them and ask? Maybe partner with them.
I don't know all the particulars of the law, but it isn't a public building, it's readily identifiable, and it's not incidental to the image (it is the image) and you're using it for profit. seems to me there would be an issue.

It would depend on where you live (country-wise) but also I would imagine that if the shop is a set, then there might be copyright issues with the set designers to watch out for

Thanks for writing back. I am in the US-for anyone who is familiar with the laws here. It's not a set, though. Just a store front on the town's main street. THanks!
