How much to charge friends?

I still charge the same sitting fee, as it covers my time, but I do give 10%-20% to friends , depending on just how much they grovel. Just kidding, It depends on just how good a friend they are. For orders over $100.00 we normally give a 10% discount too.

It depends on what kind of relationship you have with this particular friend. I have friends that I'd never charge for work, and I have friends that I usually charge full price, or give a small discount.

If you want to offer a discount but are not sure if it's the right thing to do, think about whether the experience is valuable to you as well. Maybe you need shots for your portfolio, or maybe you want to try out some radical new lighting techniques that you're nervous to try the first time with a full paying client. Or maybe you need stock. All these have valuable trading value, as do other types of trades.
