He says he is a professional photographer and a member of the Professional Photographers of America and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals but a name search on the PPA did not turn him up.

So, considering the amount of deceptive promotion that goes on, how does the honest photographer compete?
LOL, don't advertise on craig'slist next to scum like this. Makes me sick...

I agree. Craigslist is the equivalent of a roadside flea market. People go there solely for cheap &%*$, nothing more, nothing less.

It's great if your looking for a used lawnmower or a truckload of bricks. Professional photographer, no.

Nah.

Craigslist is just a free advertising outlet. Just as it only takes a couple of minutes to post, it only takes people a couple of minutes to check.

At least in this area, plenty of professionals use it, and use it well. Ultimately, you waste at most a couple of minutes turning down low-ballers. I've picked a handful of weddings from CL, none of whom tried to get me down in price any more than regular inquires. I've probably had more serious requests than anything else.

Pretty sure the hypothetical line about it affecting your image as a CL-Bottom-Feeder-User is bogus too. Anyone who potentially would care won't be looking there to see your ad anyways. Also if you're such a pretentious b!tch that that matters to you that I use CL, I don't want your Bridezilla tendencies anyways.

For the sake of literally a 90 second copy and paste ad, I'll take my chances thanks.

I've you're so over-burdened with business however, definitely understandable why you wouldn't use it.
