Here's my dirty little secret: I would never do a wedding for less than $1000 (and even that has to be small), but I know a photographer who will basically do any photography job for about $250. When people come to me and think I'm too much, I send them to her and she pays me a $35 "finders fee". I told her it's a terrible deal, but she doesn't seem to care. She's not very good either. I make it clear to the client that I'm in no way affiliated with her other than I know she's cheap.

If people are going to undercut, i might as well get mine too. I feel like I'm preserving the floor from falling that much further down.

I was asked to shoot my sister-inlaws wedding i agreed under a few conditions
1. they hire a "real" photographer
2. that i am not a pro and would not accept money from them
3. that they get jpegs
They accepted my conditions and everyone is happy.
