Default Regional Pubs

We have a few regional pubs and mags here. They would seem to be a good way to get a foot in the door. Any thoughts on how to approach them?

Initially contact the editor/picture editor and ask for their submission guidelines.

Alternatively, get a few back issues of the magazines and see what sort of articles they do and the style. then you could go out and shoot a series of images and approach them with an idea for an article (all the better if you can do the writing as well).

Try and get an appointment to show your book and have a chat with the editors.

Basically you need to find out exactly what their requirements are and get in to talk to them.

I read this initially with "pubs" as being "a tavern/bar" and im thinking "how to get your foot in the door? Be of age?"

Then I read it over again.

andyw has some great suggestions. The trick is knowing their submission guidelines and knowing how they operate.

Thanks, I will do that.

As far as pubs go, I passed that age point far too long ago.
