I find it quite funny. And as we all know, true! Mind you, he could have changed "ladies" as some people might be offended.

Hmmm.. not really sure.
I like what you're trying to say, and I agree, really. Having said that, I still feel the tone will probably put some people off.
I'm all about the confidence, I preach it all the time, but I think you may be on the border with arrogant and condescending. I think there may be better ways to say "I'm the man"..

Still, I like the idea.

EDIT: On another note.. just what are you selling? Are you telling the 'ladies' that you'll take the photos of birds and dogs that they want taken? Or are you selling some other photographic skill, such as portraits? If so, and you want to still go this route, put photos on there that actually sell what you're providing. And the two first photos of you are barely snapshots.. when you're saying "I'm the man" all the photos on your page, even those of you taken by others, should reflect that, right?

The concept is interesting, but the "mine" photos you are using aren't nearly strong enough to pull it off.

Thanks for the comments, this was just a Sunday afternoon "experiment". I understand the "ladies" thing could be seen as offensive, i'm planning on changing that. Also, since all I had available was some of my images (on my laptop) I had kind of a small collection to pick from.

Jim, what specifically is wrong with the images? I thought they were at least okay.

BigFuzzy, your follow-up comment was something I felt the whole time, but I didn't have time to shoot anything specifically for this, I think if I choose to later (maybe) I can get a series of shots that actually make sense, I was just working with what I had.

hambino, thanks

They are "Okay." However, comma, pause for effect, for this sort of "campaign" they have to be superb, perfect, beyond critique.

The bird is tiny and lost in the background clutter. I'm not one that insists on "Bird on a Stick" photos with no background elements (I started out in nature photography), but this is too much "environment."

The dog is better, but the highlights are close to blown and there is too much shadow on the shadow side. A reflector or, tiny bit of fill flash would have helped with that. Also, I would have used a narrower aperture to darken the background a bit along with a pop of flash on the dog to make it stand out a bit more.

The pose is a matter of taste, but again, for something like this you need a pose that will appeal to most rather than one that obscures the face. Even the one visible eye is hard to make out.

The feet, well, that just doesn't really fit, unless you happen to have grass on your boat.

The photo of you on the boat is flat, looks over processed (If I had to guess, I'd say a lot of shadow hightlight or other method because the background was over exposed compared to the subject. It also looks like one of those "post break up" photos where the bikini-clad ex has been trimmed out on the right hand side.

I actually like the hand, but it doesn't seem to fit with the message.

The last two photos of you have quite a few flaws, but beyond that, they (and the text with them) come of more like a personal ad than an ad campaign for a photographer.

Haha I posted thinking you were just linking to someone else's site not noticing it was you. I fail at interwebs.

Even though I've seen the Old Spice campaign, unless you had explained that in your original post, I wouldn't have known what it was...

I was thinking the exact same thing.
