While giving away the rights worked for you this time, I think you're probably the exception to the rule. After all, millions of people buy lottery tickets thinking that "something good can come of this" but most often, they lose out.

Consider what Scott Adams (creator of Dilbert) wrote about giving away intellectual property.

For your sake, I'm glad it worked out, but I still imagine that it's better to suggest that people don't give up the rights to their images if they can at all avoid it.

As to what your pro Canadian photographer friend said...well...he can say what he wants but the fact remains he has no first hand knowledge of this situation so he really has no clue.

I still don't think your argument is much of an argument at all in this case. Like I've said many times before...there was a contract offered and the details of the contract weren't negotiable. I was given the chance to either take it or leave it...and I took it...simple as that.

Honestly...If you or anyone else on here doesn't believe me...it really doesn't matter...I'm not going to lose any sleep over that.

I didn't start this thread to say "oh look at me"...I did it to show others that sometimes it does work out for the best. Was I excited...of course I was, and I guess maybe I was bragging a little bit...but can you blame me?

Anyways...I'm done with this now.
Thanks to everyone for your support...I appreciate it
Not a problem......glad it worked out for you this time. Next time, you'll know......good luck. And I know that myself and others would surely be glad to help with the pricing and bidding.
