A friend of mine is purchasing a photo studio in town that is actually a collective that I'm a member of. It has a great reputation, makes money and can accommodate any level of photographer.
The owner has decided to move so she would like to sell it as a turnkey (all backdrops, furniture, website, phone number etc). She would like to sell it to someone that has the same values of community and vision along with wanting the business to grow. It's a fantastic opportunity. I have been asked to be the studio manager. This would include everything from bookkeeping, keeping the calendar, being at the studio daily, setting up assistants for photographers, marketing and classes etc. It's a great opportunity on my end since I'm business savvy and could continue to have a place to use for my own work and to build clients. What is a reasonable salary for this position? I don't want to sell myself short. |
