My online gallery aoutomatically wm's all my stuff for me, but if I want to post anywhere else, what is the best software (and cheapest) to use. I don't need anything fancy!
Thanks in advance...

Photoshop will do it but the cheapest app for that would be GIMP. Its a free image processing program.

And here is the thread with the instructions for watermarking with GIMP. (I knew I saw it someplace.)

Most photo software these days offers a watermarking option. I mostly use Photoshop, but occasionally, depending on the situation, I'll use Photo Mechanic or iView MediaPro3 (now Microsoft Expressions Media)

Irfanview is freeware. I use it for all my watermarking. It does in batch. I use gimp for all my editing, but the minute or so it takes to watermark my photos one by one is time I needed for more editing, so I found Irfanview.
It does more than just watermarking, too. You can batch resize, re-color, grayscale, etc. Hope this helps! Chellie |
