Default Redesigned website C&C

Hi everyone. Last time I asked for feedback on my website everyone was brutally honest and ripped it to shreds. Taking everyone's feedback into account I have completely redesigned it.

Digicase Photography, Bridgend based professional photographer

I would love to know what you think of this one, and wait with interest to hear your comments good or bad.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to look and post.

Lee.

Much better but I'd get rid of the "Click to Enter" thing. I know it's free but I'm not a fan of Wix. If the Wix logo was a bit smaller then I wouldn't mind it as much either.

Just my two cents.

Remove the splash page ("Click to enter"), remove the music, and get off Wix. For the love of god get off Wix.

Almost all the images on the slideshow on the main page are blurry. Dont know why: i presume theyre not supposed to be.

No offense: I'd remove the 2nd image in the Landscapes gallery. It's nowhere near as good as the others.

Contact page: Just add a bit of text above the form fields: gives it a bit more content and doesnt look like a placeholder.

Otherwise, a very good and very nice site. It works. Im not a huge fan of flash, but this is quick and it works. The photos are also quite good: Keep up the great work.

I am guessing they were automatically resized when they were uploaded..

I also looked at Wix when I was looking to put up a site but went instead with a hosted site...

Takes too long to load the page after you click to enter, should ideally be only a few seconds or else any prospective clients get bored!

I hate flash. Usually if a site is designed in flash, I will most likely leave because it's usually slow and I know I'm going to get pelted with music.

I agree, there's nothing worse than a Flash heavy site that takes a long time to load and that automatically plays music. Turns professional clients off every time. They don't have time for that. Do you?

And why do you actually need the "click to enter" page? What is that actually getting you? It only adds a step to the entire process, and if you look at web stats, many times people visit sites for less than ten seconds. You may not have very much time to make a good impression, and if you waste it, you may never get the visitor back.

Not to sure why the speed of loading is an issue, loaded in about a second on my machine, but I don't like how you scroll through the images, unless your dead centre on the image they keep scrolling which I find a bit of a pain. Also as mentioned on an earlier post lose the splash screen I don't think it add anything to the site.

The tone of this post is in no way appropriate. The site is fast to load and fast to run. You may not like flash, neither do i, but in this case it works. Yes, the music needs to go but other than that the site is quite good.

Remember, he asked for opinions, and that's what was given. No sense ripping the person because you didn't agree. If YOU like it, great. But you aren't the end all guru. It's all opinion. I think it was a good critique.
FWIW, it loads too slow on MY system as well.
