![]() Help!! I have a photo session w/ my dad's co-worker, his wife and their 3 month old baby. I'm nervous. This will be my 1st non-family/friend photo session. they want to focus mainly on their baby girl and only get a few family shots. How can I take pics of their baby and make it interesting? should I ask them to bring any props? We will be shooting in a huge park, Forest park in St. Louis, Mo. |

A park? For a 3-month-old? Interesting...
Three months is a goofy time. They don't sit up on their own, so you have to prop them up in a seat or lay them down. That's why most 3-month photos are taken in a studio. That, and they don't do much. It usually takes some work to even get a 3-month old to smile. Your best shots will probably be taken with them laying on a blanket. Try to find a shady spot, and use a reflector or off-camera flash for a little directional light (or both). I'd suggest a bumbo or similar seat, but that might look a little goofy in the park. Honestly, I have a hard time with the 3-month photos. Now 6 month photos...those are a blast and very easy. The baby can sit up, smile, and is pretty interactive. |
