I shot a band at a local street fair type, outdoor event. I got some great shots and posted the low res files on fb and sent a link to the bands website. They are interested in obtaining some to use for promo. Can I sell to them or am I obligated to release these pictures for no charge, because I took them w/o a contract or other type of agreement?
Thanks so much for any help in this matter. Deborah Flowers index |

You'll want to write a contract, though, specifying how the images can be used, for how long, and what kind of rights the band is paying for. It should also indicate how much they're paying and whether you can use them for your own promotion.
