Question Boudior Albums...

I've ordered Wedding Albums form MPix recently and was happy with what I received and so was the newly-wed couple. But now I am searching for a Boudior album and MPix doesn't have what I want or need for that - I Want something pretty, about 4x6 size of a bit bigger... and maybe even satin or something on it... Does anyone know where I can find something like this that delivers to Canada? Any help would be very very very much appreciated!!!!!!! =)

Thank you in advance!

Have you tried, WHCC, or Bay Photo...you might even try Millers lab even though they are the parent company of MPIX.

Good Luck

Jojo

try Finao (little pricey but very nice), and Nations Photo Lab just started offering photobooks.. their options are very flexible, very affordable and very good quality.. not to mention a really fast turn around.

WHCC has some nice looking products. I haven't purchased anything from them yet but I hear great things and they have a great selection. One option I would suggest is the press-printed albums:

Unique to Press Printed Albums, the inside pages are printed on either Art Watercolor, Art Linen, Art Recycled, Satin UV, Satin Lustre, or Pearl UV press paper and adhered to heavy black cardstock. This allows each spread to lay flat with a thick and rigid look and feel. Pages are printed as full spreads and not cut so imagery and design elements are not lost in the center of the book! Press Printed Albums are available in fixed lengths of 20, 40, or 60 sides (10, 20 or 30 spreads) and are available in 6x6, 6x12, 8x8, 10x10, 12x6 and 12x12 sizes.

There are 3 levels of cover options available for Press Printed Albums including fabrics, leathers, and custom photo covers! An additional option is a padded cover to give your album a more traditional, high-end look. Please refer to the cover materials key.

Go to WHCC and download their pricing guide (PDF). There are full details/pics/descriptions of their products in it.

I'd love to know where you ended up ordering from... I too live in Canada, and am looking for a place that does nice photobooks for an upcoming boudoir session!

WHCC looks okay, but I don't have time to make my own "designs" for each page!

All of the above. Anywhere the client is comfortable. We shoot them at our house, their house, a hotel, our studio, another studio, outdoors. Just depends on where they're comfortable.

I've only done 1 boudoir session, and it was at a neutral location. That way they didn't feel quite so invaded upon.

How did you guys work the posing? Did the client do their own poses, or did you give suggestions?
