Default Personalized USB/Flash Drives

Anyone using these for clients? If so, any recommendations? A google reveals so many companies that offer them, I'd rather see if anyone has any experience before I try and narrow down the options.

Depends on what your market is. Without a really huge markup, there really isn't much of a profit margin to be had. A custom printed CD/DVD is a lot more profitable, but obviously not as reusable.

Well, I'm really looking at it only for my wedding clients. I could say it's because I want to be a bit different - truth is, it's a hell of a lot faster to dump the files onto a USB drive.

I'm seeing quotations for approx $12 for a 1GB or 2GB (cant remember which it was) with my logo on it, but of course that depends on order sizes perhaps. I just wondered whether anyone else had used a particular company.

I use them and everyone I have given them too seems to like them. This is who I use Thumb Drives - Custom ThumbDrives - Portable USB ThumbDrive - Personalized Thumb Drive

yeah, they are expensive - $9 something for each one but I like handing people something different. And of course I have my logo and phone number on the flash drive - not that you cannot have that on the CD.

Of course I only use it when they want all images on CD (no arguments about selling digital images please ) If they want one or two, they get emailed or they can dowload after they pay from my site.

What size do you get to handle all of the images?

I get the 512MB. Each of my high res images are btwn 2-4 MB - and they usually only get about 25 per session. So its more than enough

Thanks Pat, that site was the first I came across after googling, and an endorsement like yours was just what I needed!

Usually "personalized" means for the client, not for you.

Promotional costs are associated with doing any kind of business, and how you choose to advertise is part of what sets you apart from the others. This classifies as more of a novelty item, like a keychain, and I would question the actual advertising value of a USB drive. The additional expense hardly seems worth it.
