i agree that maybe the others thought you may be fishing if they recognised your name. the first thing i do when i get approached on a lead is to do a quick google/facebook check to see if they know anyone i know etc. ...also to see if they're pretty people, how old their kids are etc... kind of weird now i write it out loud...

either way i don't think its odd to get someone else to do your pictures. the last thing i would want to do would be worrying about the shooting side of it, rather just focus on playing model for an hour.
HAHA, well now we all know that you only shoot pretty people!

I doubt the first 2 would have recognized my name, but they may have looked me up and the first thing that popped up was my website. The one that agreed to do it said that she often looks people up to see where they are coming from. Actually, I have a maternity session coming up and it was referred to me by a lady that works at my husband's office. I used to work there so the lady is my friend on FB, and I looked up the client and her profile was quite interesting. Kind of wish I didn't know all that personal info now!

Glad to hear there are other people who get it. It is hard for me to take just my kids pictures sometimes when I have to plan the outfits and cater to their needs, all while being behind the camera too. I just don't think I would be happy with the pictures I got of all of us if I did it myself.
