Default Coffecup Web Access Manager HELP!

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but didn't know where else to put it. Has anyone used Coffecup Web Access Manager for password protecting their website? Hubby is trying to get it to work but despite tutorials and forum help on the site he can't get it to accept the passwords he has set up. Overall it seems very finicky and inconsistent...

Thanks in advance,

~C

Could it be a problem with people visiting you website and being nosey as to what you are charging? I just clicked the link to your site and was asked for password and username just to enquire about pricing?

LOL, no sorry, he was practicing by putting passwords on the pages that already exist. It is just really inconsistent; one minute the passwords work and the next they don't. Also other things were not working the way they were supposed to...just seems like not a very good program all in all...

Nah! Its so frustrating for you!! I know!! I've totally taken my site off the net as I was not happy with the way things were so I am in no position to give you any "advice" LOL! It's always my hubby who I called upon to get it right.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

I can't get into client proofing if that's what you mean? -- It might be local caching (i.e. your folder is working correctly but there's an earlier version in your local cache that doesn't have the password on it) -- try getting someone else to try it out, someone not local to you.

Thanks Sime, he's given up on it for today as he's off to work...the sign in would work one time and then he'd do the same thing for the next page and it wouldn't work. I think we're just going to try some code instead...
