Taking out a lense in trade sounds good to me. I took 5th generation shots for a neighbor and received packs of photo paper and disks to use for my efforts as I did this all as a favor. It has also gotten me suggested for an up coming wedding etc for their daughter. Not bad for snap shots lol.

I've decided to quote him $600 ($20 per image) and put up the rest of the cash for the 100mm f/2.8L Macro. I was planning on spending 350-400 on a used 100mm f/2.8 Macro, so that will get me, with the 600, up to the L lens.

But, being completely new to photographing pictures for someone's business, how do I go about giving him certain rights (like using the pictures for his site and catalog) and not giving him others (like for magazine ads or something)?

Thanks again for all the help!
