Default Not sure if its me or my website...

Hi all, this is my first post and I'm making it with some trepidation....since I'll be asking for feedback on my site and my work. Over the last year I have spent time setting up my site and nutting out pricing, whilst receiving regular work to at least pay for my setting up expenses.

Here's the thing that's making me a bit unsure of myself...My web stats are telling me that I am receiving anywhere from 9-20 unique visitors per day (depending on the day of the week). A quarter of them are staying on my site for between 2-5 minutes. Out of 116 unique visitors this month, 70 have visited my pricing page.

These visits aren't turning into phone calls/emails though. Is it my pricing, is my work bad. Is it because it's winter here and garbage weather and I do most of my work outside? I don't know. I would just like someone to be objective and give me the potentially 'awful' truth. Thanks...and be gentle Here's my site www.littleredphotography.com.au cheers

Phew...thanks candleman. I don't feel like throwing up anymore! I was dreading being told my work sucked.

Seems we have the same gear, camera and lenses...right down to the three boys!

Cheers for the quick response.....I'll have to work on getting my name out there a bit more and in different ways.

no problem

haha.. what a funny coincidence
at least i'm not the only one that is constantly fixing broken stuff.

i've done so many windows i reckon i could become a pretty decent glazier.
last night the curtains were torn off and one of them was trying to break the flourescent light bulb with the curtain rail.

......how on earth are you getting that many hits? are you using adwords or something similar?
i'm getting around 3-4 per day.

Oh, welcome to DpS,
i'm sure you will find it very friendly helpful here.

lol...yep, right now there is a footy being kicked around the lounge of our stately 10sq house! It's not a matter of if, but when something will be broken!

As for the hits....i just don't know. no adwords, haven't got that far. I have a grand total of 1 follwer on my blog and I'm not a huge facebooker, although I feed my blog to my facebook page. I recently shot the class photos for our local kindergarten....so that may have helped....when I work it out I'll let you know

Your work looks excellent and the website looks very professional.

Package 2 on the pricing page has some weird ********** text on it. Not sure if it's just me.

Perhaps you could link to a contact page on your pricing pages, where people can fill in a contact form to get in touch with you straight away.

Yes I get the script text on Package 2 as well. I also agree that giving full resolution images as well as I presume a license, rather than a full transfer of rights which would mean you would loose all of yours, for that price is a bit much.

To me your turn around time for prints listed in Package 2 as being 2 weeks seems like a bit much to me but I don't know what kind of printing arrangement you have.

I'm also a little confused with the fundraising idea, I assume you mean that you would contract with the group looking to raise money and split the revenue earned with them?

I also agree that your work is good, I particularly like your Black and White Images.

Can I ask though, am I missing something or is the Ginger Snaps thing just another portfolio piece that is separate from your main portfolio for some reason?

Just my 2 cents.

This is just my opinion, so take it or leave it. But your tilt the camera, cockeyed views, are a bit distracting, otherwise you have some mighty fine images displayed there.
