So I've been shooting more and more MMA events. Starting to get some traction and earn a few bucks from my shots. Anyway, a local college contacted me about a fight I shot recently about publishing some photos of a couple of fighters who were on that card. There's no pay involved, just a photo credit, but I can live with that at this stage of my (budding) career.
How do I handle this to protect myself? What kind of license do I send them? I know it's a limited rights license but how do I word it? They will print it in an upcoming issue (or two). They also publish their issues in PDF format on their website so I need to cover that as well. Thanks in advance! |

Rick, look for a book called "Business and Legal Forms for Photographers".
It has sample contracts and goes step-by-step through definitions. Even has forms on CD. Best $25 you'll spend. |
