Arrow Storage Ideas. Help, Please?

So i take a bunch of pictures, because thats what i love to do! But i don't want to keep buy more and more memory cards. Is it ok to just delete them off the memory card, if you have them on your computer? I haven't deleted any yet, but i am thinking about it...
What do you guys do?

Thanks!

I have portable hard drives. I backup my photos from the memory cards to the portable hard drives and a copy from my main computer drive. I re-use my cards once I've backed up copies 4 times.

I upload them onto my computer and delete them off the card after I have saved them to a portable hard drive. then I upload them online for extra backup. That way they're stored in three separate places and I don't have them on my memory card.

I'm a little confused. Didn't just have a post about starting a business? And you don't even know if it's OK to move images off your cards? I think it is time to go back to square one on several counts.

First, if you're not deleting images off your cards, and you don't have hundreds of full cards laying around, you can't possibly be ready to start a business.

How many cards do you have laying around? I shoot with 6 32gb cards and 6 16gb cards and fill them up regularly.

If I've got the whole thing wrong, and am confusing you with someone else, I'm sorry, but . . .
