Default First Sale Coming Up

I just finished my first real, official shoot. The clients have the proofs, and the prices and should get back to me anytime now about which prints they want. However, I have no idea what to do! I put my studio name on all of my proofs, do I take it off or leave it for the prints? I can't imagine they would want MY name on THEIR proofs, but my husband thinks I should leave it. Also, should I ask them to pay when they order, or when I deliver? Should I arrange to meet with them to give them the prints, or get their address and mail them? I would appreciate ANY advice on these questions, or any other general advice on the business side of photography. I am not the best business person, but I have a huge passion for my camera. Thanks so much in advance!!!

I don't put my name on the prints my clients buy, but I do know that some photographers put a label on the backs of prints (I don't).

I take a 50% deposit at the time of the order and they pay me the balance upon delivery - I usually do an in-person ordering session and hand-deliver the order.

That's how I do it, anyway. Everyone's got a different way of doing things.

I would have to agree with Susan. That is exactly how I do it as well.
