As long as you're printing self promotion info on the back, why not print something useful for future generations too? As someone doing family genealogy research I'd kill for family photos that included "who, what, when, where" information.

So will MPIX. I have "© SHarrington DO NOT COPY" printed on the back every one of my prints. You could have whatever info you wanted (though there's a maximum # of letter/characters). And their prices are very reasonable, too.

I know many places which will back print, the problem is, I'm not doing the printing so I don't have a say in where they'll be printed.

Ah - so will the people that are getting them printed ask to have the backprinting put on with your info? I definitely wouldn't watermark the front - I never do for prints. You could always call Walmart and Walgreens and ask them if they do backprinting, then let the people know where you would prefer they get them printed and give them the info you want printed.

Off topic, but honestly, Walgreens and Walmart do kind of a lousy job printing. Costco's quality is better...just an FYI.

I agree here. I did some MPIX and LOVE THEM! LOVE THEM!
I only put on there for now "D C KETCHAM PHOTOGRAPHY" but.. since its on Endura paper, that says professional, taking it to the W's they wont reproduce those without the copyright paper...
but then, again.. you would lose that copyright if they do get them to print them

you're in a tough one....
if they are your friends and they asked you to do it... give it to em as a gift... word of mouth is best and family is always your best advocate
