Unhappy HELP Please Help!

I need to know if I have to get a model release signed. I was a 2nd shooter for a "friend" at her wedding, I got a beautiful shot of some flowers on a pew. You can see the bride's back from her shoulder blades down. No faces at all. No hair at all. Just the back of her dress and grooms legs. Anyway, she is being Bridezilla and the wedding was awful. I doubt we will be friends anymore and I don't think she will sign a release. Anyway, the shot is beautiful and I want to use it on my website. Can i do it without a release because you can't tell who it is? Thanks....

If you really can't recognise them, then yes. You can use it.

Here is the shot. I just want to verify that I can indeed use it.

If that attached image is it, you can certainly use the image.

I agree with everyone else. I think you would be just fine using the shot.

Please check out Dan Heller's fabulous site where he gives a great deal of detail on when, where and why you need model release. He, quite literally, wrote the book on Model Releases.

It was quite bad actually. But, it's over and done with. I got some good experience and I will definitely be using the shots that I can. It really is a shame too, because I sincerely doubt her "photographer" will have gotten any decent photographs. She didn't move from a single spot and was using an original Rebel with the "come with" lens (18-55 I think). And no flash. I don't want her to have bad pictures, don't get me wrong, but I think when she sees this other girl's photographs, I may get a phone call and she'll want to be best buds again. Anyway, Thank you so much everyone for the help. The photograph has a place of pride on my website now. And thanks for the model release link! I will definitely read that page.
