Question How price a dance school?

I may have a few jobs coming up, shooting portraits and action shots for a dance school recital. The school would bring me in, but the parents of the dancers would be the ones buying the pictures.

Do I charge the school for my time and the parents for prints?

Normally I charge $200/hr plus prints. Should I give the school a break, say $150/hr knowing that I'll probably get a higher quantity of print orders?

Thanks for your input!

i'm in the same boat being asked to shoot a dance competition.
so i'll watch this closely

i recently did a fashion show for a design school.
(on the runway as well as studio shots of each outfit)

i charged nothing for my time, because the school is collecting the orders and money al for me.. so they are doing half my job... so i cut them some slack.
but, i sold prints to designers/models at my usual rate per print.
working out pretty good thus far, and i havnt got all the orders in yet.

Actually scheduled to speak with an owner of a local dance school for just such a thing.

No reason to charge the school. This is like other school portraits or sports portraits. The school is doing you the favor of making you the, "exclusive," portrait photog and you're charging the parents who will (more than likely) buy a package from you.

I'm planning on offering 2 things--have a photo printer there so they can get a photo the day of the shoot for a small fee ($5 or $6 or something) and packages they can purchase to receive at a later date. Why the two options? Well, like so many other things like this, the parents already have (in many cases) bought packages of the same kinds of photos and don't want/need another one and they won't buy a package. I'd rather make a little something than nothing at all.
