If you have a business already, what kinds of camera do you have? Just wondering what you all thought of the 5D. I currently have a Sony A300 and I just started my own photography business so I need something better that is used from $1,400 or less. I am looking at the 5D. Can't afford the Mark I, II or III. Anyone have the 5D or had it and can give me some feedback about it? I already posted in the gear forum to no avail.

The 5D = 5Dmk1 (most people just dont bother posting the Mk1 part). The mk2 is the current version, and the Mk3 is somewhere in Canon R&D.

5D is a nice camera! I know someone with the mkII and it's really good.
I got a D90... I guess it can be considered a 'pro-sumer' camera. It's pretty good I think, would like to upgrade to D300 or D700 sometime |

I have a Nikon D80, and I do like it. It's getting a bit old, but it still gets the job done. I'm looking to upgrade to a D300s.

I LOVE LOVE my 5D, opted for that one instead of II b/c of space contraints on my computer...Did not want to upgrade that too...
![]() BUT if you have the 64 bit version of Windows Vista, Canon does NOT make a driver for that system - you need a card reader or an older camera that has the right driver so you can get your pics off the camera. Its a total bummer.

This is exactly what I just did. In retrospect, I should have kept the D80 as a backup but I think I'm going to pick up a friends D200 as a backup this spring.
