The Business Side

I've been spending so much time lately revamping my business. I've got all new professional equipment, have signed up for 3 new professional labs and have been ordering samples to see how I want to use them. I've re-done all my pricing recently, designed new price sheets, and have re-done my first contact letters and information. On top of that I shot my first wedding and have been designing and redesigning a post wedding announcement. All this while dealing with a demanding 4 month old.

So anyway I'm taking a day to just photodocument my life. Back the way things were before I started this photography business. I'll be taking a photo an hour and posting it too my blog every couple of hours. Check it out:

Well, I ended up having a really great time and got a bunch of great shots and got more familiar with my new equipment. I highly recommend any of you business people out there to take some time off and just shoot for yourself.

I've been considering a "Me Day" for quite a while now.

Yup..........need to creatively recharge batteries and shoot what we want for a change.

Yup. Sometimes I need a day where I can just be creative and do a shoot for myself, so I grab a cute girlfriend who likes to pose and ham it up, and try out a new location. When I'm shooting for myself and not for a client, I often get some awesome portfolio shots and those are the ones that get the most "ooooh's" and "aaaaaaaah's" from my viewers. I feel like those are the pictures that bring me more business.
