Default Question about a photo printer...

A friend and I have a wedding to shoot coming in June. We're doing a photo booth there as well. They're more popular every day it seems. Anyway, my question is, what's a good printer we can have for the photo booth. I'll be manning the booth and doing the shots/printing so it doesn't have to be totally fool proof. But has anyone else done a photo booth at a wedding and what printer is a good one. I know there are a lot out there.

Thanks.

I like the Shinko models for that sort of thing: Shinko S1245 Printer (CHC-S1245) - Imaging Spectrum

Looks nice. Unfortunately, not in our budget at the moment. Going forward, we'd like to do something like this though...

I've just been tasked with the same thing for an upcoming "Strike a Pose" party.

My implementation will be to use an eye-fi card (wireless SD card) and have it auto-download photos from my camera to a nearby laptop hooked up to a printer. Every time I take a photo, the laptop will recieve the photo and tell the printer to print a 4x6. I use a Sony UPDR-150. It's fast and prints cost about 22 cents each. The only downside is the printer weighs about 50 lbs.

The software to automatically print the photo will be created by me (it's actually a really simple program). As far as I know, there isn't one commercially available. If there is interest, I'll probably sell the software for a few bucks (there seems to be a lot of interest in this in the strobist group).

I'll have to look at that printer.

Eye-fi card isn't an option. They don't make them for a 50D or a 7D. We'll be setting up my 50D and myself, or my partner will be shooting (or our assistant--his wife).

You could always shoot tethered (i.e. with USB cord attached to computer). The eye-fi card is just so I don't have to shoot tethered.

My friend is dropping off the eye-fi card on Sunday night and I'll try it out sometime this week. I know there is a lot of people wanting to offer this at weddings, but few have a good solution.

I will have it connected to the MacBook either way. I'll be controlling the camera via the Canon software. I'm more interested in the printer to use.
