I am going to be putting some of my prints up for sale at a local crafters market type store...they will be framed and matted. I'm just wondering where I should be putting my name? Should I be signing the front of the picture? Do you name the image? I was thinking of just printing off some labels with my name and contact information and sticking them on the back of the prints.
Just wondering what some of you think and or do when selling your prints? Thanks for the help. |

You can also sign the mat, but some people are worried about photos being separated from mats. Signing the mat and especially the photo implies that you're marketing yourself; signing the back implies that you're adding genuineness to the photo. marketing yourself with your signature detracts a little from the photo, making it about you instead of just about the image. |
