Blog OFTEN. Blog about whatever, even if you might not have a shoot to post. Everytime you create a new blog post, it's another mini webpage out there for people to find in their searches.

There are actually blogs about this. No kidding.
There's no "magic formula" and there are different approaches depending on your goals. If you want enough traffic to create some revenue, you're going to have to spend money on advertising, it's really difficult to generate that much traffic organically. Generally content is king. Have a little bit of populated content, and update on a regular basis -- it doesn't have to be multiple times a day or every day, if you don't have anything to say don't update. Stay up to date on SEO strategies. This changes more frequently than you think. Participate in a community. Find other photoblogs and comment on them. Link to them. Develoip dialogues with other bloggers. Set goals, create a plan to meet those goals, and follow through. What level of traffic are you looking to generate? |

Well, first, you need to let EVERYONE know about your blog. Do you have it in your signature on this site and others you post on? Do you let people know via Facebook or other means of communication you use? Do you watermark your photos with your blog address (if you use watermarks)?
People can't go there if they don't know about you. |

I don't have a huge amount of traffic to my site, but the traffic that I do have is because I've participated on other people's photoblogs. If you're looking for input on your site, the best way to get it is to go out and give other people input - more often than not, they'll return the favor.

There are many ways to get yr traffic besides blog posting, better ways even.
