Default Usually you have three ways to upload your photos

Usually you have three ways to upload your photos to the agencies. The most common one is using the web upload form which is available on all stock photo agencies. Then you have the ActiveX/Java uploading system which available only on some of the agencies. The last one is via FTP (File Transfer Protocol) software which I think is the easiest way of uploading your photos as what you need to do is to drag and drop your files from your computer to their server.

There are five - I process all of my photos, and print them out. Then I wrap all the prints up in nice brown paper, and post them off to a guy in Belgium, who scans each image very carefully, saves it as a bitmap, then converts it to a Jpeg and puts it on the internet for me. I don't need to store loads of big files like the rest of you lot - if I want to access any of my pictures, I can download them as nice neat 46k Jpegs from the internet.

And the whole process only takes about five weeks from taking the pictures to having them online. My workflow totally rocks!

Yea, but what good is 46K jpegs if a client can't print them?

Jim Poor - Farmville lol! You must have WAAAAY too much time on your hands. I won't even go there. I have been sent invites but I have an addictive personality so I just know I'd get hooked.

Hilarious! I am not ashamed of knowing what Farmville is...in the Facebook Ville addiction 12 step program they told us to never be embarrassed. I've just conquered my Yoville addiction so I'm not going anywhere near Farmville right now.

That's the whole beauty of it Jim - because the files are on the internet, the clients can download them and make the prints themselves. No need for any expensive printlabs, all they need is an inkjet printer and some half-decent Wal-mart paper and they're happy as a pig in poo..

And because that keeps my overheads so low, I can charge £10 for a session, with £1 per image, and then they can have whatever size they like!
