Default another biz name thread

so, I have loved using k8et as an identity online, but I don't think it really translates well to a business name because it's hard to verbally get it across. (Let me know if you disagree please!)

I'm researching possible names, and have come up with one so far that may work.
Hijinks Studios. Yeah, I guess I'll be spelling it out often still but at least it's a real word. Any thoughts? Does it give the wrong impression that I'm flighty and unreliable? (I love this definition from dictionary.com - "boisterous celebration or merrymaking; unrestrained fun")

That, and having the two s's next to each other in domain (HijinksStudio) are my biggest hesitations.

Don't want to use name, too many others use it (or the more common spelling of it), changing it in october when I get married, and really would just rather keep it separate. As well as being ambiguous enough that if I change direction of what I do it will still work.

I'll keep looking while pondering it. Feel free to suggest any other names!

The name when read is interesting but on first impression, sounds bit like "jinx" without reading the word.

Just registered my business name with my biz partner... We started by thinking of words that define us as persons as well as defining the way we see our business. That was the easy part. Next step was coming up with words that would include or suggest those meanings and spent hours over the dictionary. Next we checked the availability in the business registrar... and had a heart attack as everything was already used.

Try and think of something that defines you, but is also catchy, easy to remember, stands out and its easy to market.

I agree that it sounds a bit like "jinx"...

Over my career, I have owned several business and have found it necessary to have a name the public can identify with. If it is too "odd" people first won't call and second, they ask what it is you do, therefore needing to field lots of calls that may have saved you time by being more on-point with a business name. It is very important to make it as simple as possible for folks when it comes to advertising and names.
