Hey! I was asked by an old work friend if I would do some pictures of her and her DH when he got back from Iraq. She asked b/c another friend had told her I did some Easter pics of her son and told her to check out some pics I had posted on Facebook of my husband and I that I had done before he left for deployment. She really loved my pics and asked me to take some for her and just asked me to name a price. I have never charged for my services but really haven't done too many shoots but would like to start doing this on the side. I have done some wedding pics for my sister-in-law which got some really good reviews
Also the Easter pics of my friends son, I am also scheduled for some maternity shots here in the spring. Along with many self portraits and other shots.. However this is so very new to me and I am not sure what to charge. I am guessing the shoot will be at a park and take a couple hours at most plus about 3 hours in editing on my part and I will put the pictures on a disc for her. I was thinking 50$ but really not sure. Any opinions? Is this too much or too little? Thank you in advance

That twinkle toes guy is annoying as a knat
Better than charge more than $50.00 than a buck for an out of focus image. You might want to charge at least $100-150.00 for the sitting fee.

You might want to take some business classes or check out some of the numerous photography business books out on the market.
