maxharvard> thanks for the honesty. I never really thought my images where worth purchasing; I just do this as a hobby. Going through different sites and seeing what other people I think, why would somebody want to buy one of my images? But for some reason, recently after a little over a year of friends and family telling me, I thought I'd give it a shot. I really don’t have much to lose, but if it works out I have something to gain.
Please feel to tell me what you think, the only way to better, is to know what you’re doing wrong. hoawong> that's what i figured!! |

No worries man, I just feel it's important to give people honest opinions. (Yes, opinions are like mailboxes, i get it) I'm not here to discourage you or put you down, it's more constructive than anything else. In this day and age where EVERYONE has a DSLR and therefore can take awesome photos (note sarcasm), you really have to have something that someone else doesn't. Your product really has to be that much heads and tails above the rest. Keep going, keep practicing and find your niche. ~Eric |

I haven't looked at your photos, but really these things are subjective and an image can spark something in someone that you wouldn't expect. A local guy here recently made a painting of the outside of a local club, and one of the club DJ's bought it within 30 minutes of him posting it online. You never know who your audience could be. That said, have you printed any of your photos? if you want to sell them, you need to have a solid, reliable printing system. I would work on that first; make sure you're ready to sell prints before you try to. |

Hey....family and friends will always tell you how good you are. What you need to do is to visit some pros in your area and show them a portfolio and get their opinions.
To pasoviennese -- Max just recently sold an article he wrote and shot to a major car magazine. Wanna know why...HE LISTENED TO OUR ADVICE HERE! You really need to do the same.

I figure if he can't figure out that I've posted a link to my photos about 2,800 times (see post count), then it's probably no worth the hassle of posting a link LOL
