Flickr or any other external web host that offers versions of your image at multiple sizes are recommended - you will find several mentioned in our FAQ. Alternative, each member has a personal gallery area - look at your user control panel (User CP) and you will see a link down the left hand side.
Both the FAQ and the control panel link can be found by looking at the links near the top of the page. Wulf |

For Windows XP users, you could try using this PowerToy provided by Microsoft which adds a "Resize this image" box on your right click.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/D...powertoys.mspx Used to work great for me without quality loss. And when I say 'used', I have switched to Windows 7 now. |

So true LenDog, so true.
I don't have a flickr account and I wont be getting a flickr account either. I use a different site, am unsure as to whether the requirements fit here but I'm happy with it. I've been a member there for years now. It's more for sharing your photos with friends and family I think. If I have to submit photos, I'm happy with the thumbnail attachment, it seems to have opened up for me fine although some photos aren't shown as good as the way they look in their original size ie. my best photo for 2009 contribution. As for someone saying earlier in the forum, make it mandatory everyone uses flickr, I think if you did that you'd be losing some ppl, me being one of them. |

When uploading an image, maybe there should be a size limit. Also, if an image is too big, can't the moderators remove it, or notify the 'uploader'? I just joined DPS and love it. I hope it won't end up turning away non-flickr users and start charging. |

There's no danger of non-Flickr users being turned away - one of the reasons this forum was set up was to enlarge the discussion from the Flickr group where it started. However, that history and the fact Flickr does provide an excellent and flexible web-based service explain why it is still happily used by so many DPS members.
