OK, this assignment could be a tricky one [I had trouble finding a shot fo this, the first post!] "Movies" is our theme, any take on movies... infact - take the box and trash it, lets get thinking right outside the box [the one we just trashed like a moviestar!]...show me your "Movie" shots... You as a film star, you on a set, the BatMobile? A dvd?

Please remember to add the "assignment-movies" tag to your posts! goodluck

This is a shot of the Ramparts in Essaouira, Morocco - Part of the set in the film "Kindom of Heaven"

Kittens on the Essaouira ramparts

Now how outside the box is that!

Next weeks assignment will be"Repetition"

Here is an older photo of mine that looked like a shot from a movie, so I cropped it down to 16:9 widescreen format and added surround sound to boost the cinematic experience (*):

Preparing to Exit (widescreen)

I hope we will see many more ideas than just widescreen versions of your pictures but it is a strategy worth bearing in mind, especially if you can combine it with a further twist.

Wulf

(*) One of those statements isn't true...

Sorry, I had to dig one out of the archives for this...

IMG_7607.JPG

It's Harold Lloyd's handprint in the Chinese Theatre's courtyard. Note how the prosthetic forefinger and thumb made a slightly different imprint.

I know what movie that's from but I can't think of it. My brain is going haywire! Jiminy - what movie is that? It's driving me crazy.

I'm back.

Haeretik,

Thanks. Disgusting aside, they are photogenic.

Peach,

I want to believe you're having me on. But it's possible you haven't seen it. Cop movie, Clint Eastwood, you know this! "Dirty, Hairy" of course!

Saralonde,

(Just kidding) Were you thinking of Vincent Price, remembering the movie?
