Default Assignment: B&W Portraits

Radical 60s and 70s on the 4th of July.

This shot reminds me of the political movements in the 60s and 70s.

But it's actually just someone celebrating the nation's independence day.

Default BW Niece with Rose Pedals

Here is a picture of my 3 yr old niece. She was having rose pedals dropped over her by her 15 yr old sister, and she was all looking up as if to anticipate more to drop...

Default Assignment: B&W Portrait

I took this on July 3rd but had re-initialized the camera so the file date is 2008-01-01. If it disqualifies me that's fine. Just need the experience.

Default Not eligible for assignment

Couldn't decide between this one and the assignment entry. I like this one better but the other one looks better. Now I need to learn Photoshop so I can combine the two!

Here's France, my reluctant model and lovely wife for 29 years.
(And thanks to my daughter, Ariane, for holding the dark background thru the whole shoot)
She did move a little but I think it adds rather that detract from the picture.
What do you think?
