Default DPS Assignment: Light/Play

That lamp has legs

Another week, another trip to the shops to buy props - and props that then get a proper butchering with a saw!!! Wanted to literally play with light and do what I'm sure my Dad would tell me not to do - play with electricity! Probably my most uncomfortable pose to date with the bulb literally pressed against my nose. But it's always worth the pain to get the shot you want.

So there are three photos that I took in the past and, I hope, match this assignment.
Maybe I'll try to take some for the competition as well.

Shade abstraction

Stone Man

Light path
(I've already posted this photo to the Assignment Red, I hope it's alright to post it here as well.)

If I had to sum Susan's contributions to these assignments up in one sentence it could only be "expect the unexpected". Not content with mere technical excellence she also pushes the boats out on imagination and effort in setting up those ideas.

I hope we are all suitably inspired (although not so much that any of us end up shooting for "playing with fire"!).
