Default How to Post Pictures in Assignment Threads Using Flickr

To post a picture in in comments follow these instructions:

1. you need to be a member of flickr. You can sign up at the top of each flickr page. Flickr is a photo sharing site that lets you upload your shots and then share them.

2. upload the photo you want to share with us to your flickr account.

3. go to the photo's page and follow the illustrated guide in our FAQ to get the HTML code to copy and paste into your post.

4. the first few times it is definitely worth previewing your post before submitting it to make sure things look the way you want

I'm following your instruction to see how easy this is for newbies. I understand it quite well, but then I've been participating at your flickr site.

I just open up two browsers. One with my flickr images, and this site. Makes it easy to copy and paste images.

Editing was easy. Just testing this. Oh there is even a reason for deletion. Darren feel free to delete.

if you want to quote part of a post from several different people, you push multiple quote button on the first one, (and 2nd, 3rd etc) and quote on the the last person's post and then type up your reply... saves you from trying to copy and paste from several people. I usually go back and delete everything except the exact bit of the post I am refering to to keep it from being too long

Do they have to be uploaded to a flickr.com account? I have a SmugMug account where all of my shots are that allows direct linking.

Default Assignment question

Quick question for those of you who have been participating longer than I have. How often do we do assignments?

Those of you who use Flickr and do a lot of blogging or post to online forums might want to consider the Flock Browser. Flock is based on Firefox, so it has tabbed browsing, extensions, and all the other good things you've come to expect from that platform.

You can subscribe to your photostream, which will appear as thumbnails across the top of your browser window. From there, you can just drag and drop your images into your posts. You can choose small or medium sizes, and it will create a direct link back to the Flickr page for your photo. The screenshot below shows how it's done, using my blog interface...

For the record, I have no vested interest in Flock, apart from the fact that I have found it to be a very useful tool.
