Thanks for the idea. I tried that exact thing and it did not work ... but strangely enough when I paste the HTML into MS Word - copy it again and then paste into DPS it works ... it seems like when I paste straight from FLIKR to DPS it is making some of the characters hyperlinks ... I'm not sure how or why but I think this work around will get me by. Thanks for the speedy reply.

How strange is that. I wish I had a better answer for you other than the work around that you've managed to come up with If you're using firefox as your browser though, I highly recommend Greasemonkey and AllSizes+. I've never had problems when using the copy and paste functions through that.

Default Am I doing this right?

Some of the Assignments and Contest discussions say that the posted picture should include EXIF data. I'm posting pictures through Flickr.

When I download the picture from Flickr, I don't see the EXIF data in the picture anymore. However, the Flickr page has the Exif data on it (Under "Additional Information More Properties.) My privacy settings on Flickr are not set to hide EXIF data.

So:
1) For the purposes of these forums, is the EXIF data avaiiable on Flickr sufficient?
2) Should I be able to download a picture from Flickr with the original EXIF data in it?

So a link to Flickr is below using the instructions provided.

To the beach

Ok, figured it out. The deal is that the original picture on Flickr is larger than what these forums like. So the link I posted was for one of the smaller versions. I guess when Flickr makes the reduced resolution version, it does not copy the EXIF data from the original.

So, do these forums prefer embedded EXIF, or is it OK for the EXIF to stay on the original back on Flickr?

It's perfectly fine for the exif to stay on Flickr since we like the medium size or smaller used on the forums to keep load times down. Thanks for asking, I'm sure other people had the same question considering the new contest and the need for the exif.
