It makes the mods' and admins' jobs easier if you post the exif, but as long as it's available when we click the picture, that's ok too.

I would like to participate...but...don't know how to post a photo on this forum. I store most of my photo's online at Webshots and I don't think they have a way to do this...do they?

If this is the site you are talking about, then yes you can.
Step 1) Under the picture you can see these icons. Click on the one shown in the example.
ScreenShot001

Step 2) Be sure to click on the 500 pixel size as shown in this example.
ScreenShot002

Step 3) Highlight & copy as shown in this example.
ScreenShot003

Now, on this site, you would just click on "Reply to Thread". A message box pops up & you can add a comment if you wish or just paste in this box the stuff you copied from Webshots. I hope this makes sense. Try it & add a post to this thread & we'll see if it works for you.

Disclaimer: I just went to Webshots & randomly chose a picture for this illustration. I have know idea who's picture this is. I hope it's okay to use it for this illustration. If not, you Mods can delete this post if you wish.

how cool, i didn't know that the exif data was recorded with the picture when uploaded to flickr. i have been using photobucket for sharing but started a flickr acct as well for this purpose. i don't see the img links and such though on flickr for copy/pasting like photobucket has under each picture?

Default Exif on Flickr

Wow I feel like an idiot not knowing that Flickr showed Exif! I was opening my pix in another program & copying it on paper to record with the few pix I have posted.
Thanks for the info!

I still do not understand how to view the Exif data and post it with the picture. The only time i have seen it is when the photo is still in the camera! I have even clicked on one of my pix in flckr but can find the data!
I would like to Participate in the assignments but....well feeling pretty lame about this, any help would be appreciated.

On your photo page in flickr the details of your camera appear on the right hind side of the page just below the photo. You will see an entry like this:-
Taken with a Nikon D50.
More properties
Taken on June 16, 2008 (edit)
If you click on the "more properties" it will bring up the exif details of the photo
