Looking back, I think I should have made this one whiter but it is definitely a step up from the original in terms of that "product shot" look. This is one of the objects in my collection of computer stuff. I figured I'd dress it up like a new product announcement. I'll identify it later, over the week-end. Remember, if you know what it is, you might be dating yourself. Genuine ferrite core memory. Provided character storage for the IBM 2821 Control Unit. Typically attached to a 1403 printer. Probably 1963-1965 time frame. If you look at the full size photo, the rows of black things are doughnuts (cores) on edge. The red is sensor wire laced through the individual cores. And it's NOT Food! ![]()

I just wanted to share... I was bummed when I realized that I shot this too early and I missed the assignment start day by 2 days. I just get too excited when packages arrive in the mail! lol
